Portocolom, the village on the east coast - in the district of Felanitx - is one of the most beautiful places on this stretch of Mallorca coast, about 12 km north of Cala d'Or.

A traditional fishing village, Portocolom has retained much of its original charm. The village nestles around one of the largest sheltered bays on the island, where boathouses, the lighthouse and boats add to the picturesque look of the place like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Pleasure boats are moored next to fishing boats on the long quay. Wonderful boat trips can be booked from here.

The main beach in Portocolom is Cala Marcal (Blue Flag). Bathing holidaymakers will find sandy shallow waters here; it is family-friendly and offers everything that can and should be expected of a Mallorcan holiday resort by the sea. The beaches of S'Arenal Grand and S'Arenal Petit are also nearby - not to be confused with the large holiday resort of "Arenal" in the south of Mallorca.

Portocolom is generally quieter in the low season, but it never gets boring even in winter. You enjoy a diverse, international community. The pretty pastel coloured houses and magnificent views create a tranquil atmosphere - even during the busiest time of the year.

The property for sale here is located in an extremely well-maintained and quiet residential complex (10 buildings) with approx. 40 units.

There are numerous parking possibilities in front of the house. The entire complex is approx. 26 years old, the construction quality of the houses can be described as very good.

The construction of the units gives the impression that you are not in a flat but in a terraced house.

On the ground floor there is a large living room with air conditioning, guest toilet, country style kitchen and utility room. The ground floor is covered with laminate flooring. The terrace with sun awning has a functional size of approx. 25 m², is surrounded by hedges and therefore hidden from view. Due to the existing roofing it is possible to sit outside even in "bad weather".

On the 1st floor there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with a small tub, a bathroom-en-suite with a walk-in shower and a beautiful large balcony, approx. 16 m², facing the garden. This room also has air conditioning w/c. Laminate flooring has been laid here as well.

The total living area is approx. 105 m². All windows are double-glazed insulated windows and fitted with aluminium Persian windows. Additional storage space is available.

The communal garden can definitely be described as "park-like". Large well-kept lawns, Mediterranean plants and shady trees are spread over the entire area. The pool is larger than average, there is a separate children's pool, and there is plenty of space for sun loungers and the like.

The community costs amount to approx. 150,-- € per month. A holiday licence is not available and is not desired by the community. Keeping animals is of course allowed. The majority of the owners are German.
